What format are the toolkits?

All Silver Six toolkits are Microsoft Excel workbooks. They are delivered as instant downloads — no installation required beyond Microsoft Excel. Each toolkit includes a how-to-use guide built directly into the file.

Do I need Power BI or any other software to use the toolkits?

No. The toolkits are fully functional as standalone Excel files. The interactive dashboards shown on this website are examples of what Silver Six builds for clients through our advisory service — they are not included in any toolkit purchase and require a separate engagement. If you would like a Power BI dashboard built on top of your toolkit data, get in touch to discuss.

Are these ready-made templates or will they be custom-built for me?

These are professionally designed, structured Excel templates — built on PRINCE2 principles and UK Green Book methodology, ready to use from the moment you download them. They are not custom-built for individual organisations. If you need a toolkit configured specifically for your organisation's structure, naming conventions or governance cycle, that is available through our advisory service as a separate engagement.

Who are the toolkits designed for?

Anyone who needs to run projects or programmes more effectively — whether you are a freelance consultant, a small business owner managing multiple workstreams, a programme manager in a large organisation, or someone building a delivery function from scratch. You do not need a background in project management to use them. Each toolkit includes a plain-English how-to-use guide.

What is the difference between the toolkits and the advisory service?

The toolkits are products you purchase once and use immediately — structured Excel workbooks that give you the foundations of good delivery management. The advisory service is where Silver Six works directly with your organisation — configuring tools, designing governance, building Power BI dashboards, and providing hands-on programme support. You can use a toolkit without engaging the advisory service, and vice versa.

What does PRINCE2-grounded mean?

PRINCE2 is the UK's leading project management framework, widely used across central and local government, the NHS, and the private sector. Our toolkits are designed around PRINCE2 principles — clear governance, defined roles, structured reporting, and disciplined controls. You do not need to be PRINCE2-certified to use them. The tools do the heavy lifting.

What is the UK Green Book?

The HM Treasury Green Book is the UK government's framework for the appraisal and evaluation of policies, programmes and projects — particularly how benefits and outcomes are defined, tracked and reported. Our benefits and outcomes tracker is structured in line with these principles, making it particularly relevant for public sector and government-funded organisations.

What happens on the one-hour implementation call included with the Complete Toolkit?

You will speak directly with a Senior PMO Consultant from Silver Six. The session is a practical setup call — walking you through how to configure the toolkit for your specific context, including naming conventions, RAG status definitions, reporting cadence, and which tools to prioritise first. It is a working session, not a sales call.

Can I get a refund if the toolkit is not right for me?

Due to the digital nature of our products, we are unable to offer refunds once a toolkit has been downloaded or accessed. If you are unsure which toolkit is right for you, we recommend booking a free 30-minute discovery call before purchasing — we will point you in the right direction at no cost.

I am not sure which toolkit I need — where do I start?

If you are new to structured delivery or building your first delivery function, start with the Starter Toolkit.
